Custom decals designed by Meindert de Vreeze

Regularly, I design my own decals for my aircraft models as these are not available in after market sets or not in a particular scale. Or for decals for the World Air Forces in Plastic models with particular schemes that were not available or hard to find.

For example: for a 1/32 Tornado ADV, aftermarket decal sheets had no white dotted walk way lines. Over 15 years ago, I had 3 custom decal sheets printed for my Tornado F2 or F3 in 1/32 scale.

Some modellers also want some of my decals for building their model and send me a mail to ask about a decal sheet. Often, it is possible to provide a sheet. The decals were custom designed in the scale required. If you need another scale, let me know.

Each designed decal sheet is custom "all colour laser" printed. To save costs and effort, decal requests by enthusiasts are combined but it may take a bit longer to get your decals delivered.

DECAL SYSTEM
Each decal sheet has one continuous print film, so each decal needs to be cut out with fine scissors.

No other prior decal preparation is needed.

Each cut out decal can be applied as usual after soaking it a short while in water. Decals are VERY THIN, so slide off from the wet backing sheet on a horizontally held GLOSSY model surface.

Note that a decal that contains a white section is often split in two parts. To apply the full decal marking, first set the white decal section at correct position and on top of that the coloured section. On the decals sheet you will often see an “arrow” to indicate this way of application (on white under surfaces, the white section is optional).

After all decals have been applied, finish the model with your preferred final gloss, matt or semi-matt varnish coats. This will also protect all the decals.

Decals are designed in several scales. If you need another scale, let me know.

Decals sheet cost indications:
> about 6 to 25 euro each, depending on decal sheet size.
+ add international untracked postage + PayPal payment costs about 3 tot 6 euro per shipment.

DECAL SHEET AIPD 01:   Tornado ADV F2/F3 white patterned walk ways (1/32)

First, sheet #1 has the peculiar white walk way lines in 1/32 seen on grey Tornado ADV F2 and F3 fighters.

Stripes need to be cut to size by the modeller matching the pattern as shown on the upper view drawing. Some extra lengths are provided.

On the sheet are also NO STEPS in white and the alternative NO "foot" STEP symbols as also sometimes seen on ADV Tornado's.

Sheet #1 is essential on all Tornado ADV F2 and F3 schemes. Decals are sufficient for one model with the stripes.
