DECAL SYSTEM
Each decal sheet is LASER full colour printed on one continuous print film, so each decal needs to be cut out with fine scissors.

No other prior decal preparation is needed.

Each cut out decal can be applied as usual after soaking it a short while in water. Decals are VERY THIN, so slide off from the wet backing sheet on a horizontally held GLOSSY model surface.

Note 1: a decal that contains a large white section is often split in two parts. To apply the full decal marking, first set the white decal section at correct position and than on top of that the coloured section. On the decals sheet you will often see an “arrow” to indicate this way of application (on white model surfaces, the white section may not be needed).

Note 2: sometimes a white edge is unavoidable on a specific decal; remove the tiny white edge with fine scissors or overpaint the edge later on the model.

Note 3: please be aware these are hobby custom decals of subjects often not available, not commercial decals.

After all decals have been applied, finish the model with your preferred final gloss, matt or semi-matt varnish coats. This will also protect all the decals.

IMPORTANT:  Please do not expect excellent "Cartograph" like quality! These decals are home made laser printed and of rare subjects for which no large series printed commercial decalsare available!

In 1996 Thailand acquired from Spain 7 AV-8A(S) with codes 3103-3109 and 2 TAV-8A(S) two seaters coded 3101 and 3102. These would be flown by the Thai Navy to operate from the also purchased ex-Spanish carrier, now called in Thailand "HTMS Chakri Naruebet". However, the Thai AV-8 jets operated mainly from shore and for just a few years.

DECAL SHEET AIPD 29: Grumman A-6F Intruder II (1/72)

The A-6F Intruder II was a development program of Grumman to improve the US Navy A-6E. It would also get 2 new F-404-GE-404 jet engines with 15% more power and lower fuel burn. Armament could now also include air-to-air missiles and HARM missiles on outboard wing pylons as well as new systems. The new GE- engines required deeper and bulkier engine nacelles. No A-6F were ordered for the US Navy.
A 1/72 A-6E can with some conversion be made as A-6F. (C-Scale had a soft casted metal conversion set but this is rare). The decal sheet description describes how the conversion can be done from scrap and the decals offer a choice of 2 A-6F schemes.

DECAL SHEET AIPD 32: De Havilland Beaver, Laos (1/72)

A few DHC L-20 Beavers were delivered in 1955/ 1957 as the Beaver short takeoff and landing capabilities were well suited it for the primitive conditions of Laotian airstrips. One or more of these L-20s arrived with a .50 caliber machine gun still mounted; the natural use for such an armed craft was as a gunship for strafing ground targets.

The white unit badge is unclear as well as the serial but the ED code seems to be used on the tail.
