..... continued from page 2 Another 1/72 injection moulded kit from Special Hobby of the SF-260. The kit made is from release #SH72418 and was made in a similar way as described on page 1. The scheme choosen was for a SF-260W of the Burkina Faso air force as flown from 1986. There were a few different schemes. The colours were unknown but guesstimated and airbrushed were these acrylics: - lower surfaces light blue-grey with Revell Aqua 49 - camouflage sand: Revell Aqua 16 - camouflage olive green: Gunze Sangyo 309 (~FS34059) - camouflage grey-brown with Gunze Sangyo 3131 (~FS33531) The soft edged colour demarcations were done with flex Blu Tack. The interior was painted medium grey and detailed with instrument decals from the kit. The clear cockpit hood set closed with any tiny gaps closed with White Glue, paint when dried. The few Burkina faso markings were home designed looking at photos with a graphics program and printed by a Third Party. The stencils are from the kit decal sheet. The propeller colours are difficult to see on photos, so airbrushed were grey at the front prop surfaces and black rear surfaces. No prop tips were painted. Also, unguided rocket pods from the kit were installed painted light grey. Various static dischargers were added made from thin fishing line and the model got a semi-mat varnish airbrushed.
