Pictures of the "real thing"
The Dutch Navy ordered the British Armstrong Withworth (later Hawker) Seahawk to be deployed on the Dutch
Aircraft Carrier Karel Doorman in the fifties and sixties. It was used successfully.
Dutch navy had 22 aircraft from Hawker mk.50, delivered 18 July 1957 to 29 January 1958.
Serialed 6-50 to 6-71 (later 111 to 131). Equivalent to FGA.7. Withdrawn 23 October 1964.
Served with 860 and 3 sqns as fighter-bomber.

The Dutch Mk.50 was very similar to the FAA Mk.6 but the Dutch aircraft had a different Philips system antenna on top of the fuselage.

Museum display aircraft details are seen here..

NOTE: this aircraft "118" is a Sea Hawk mk.6 former Royal Navy FAA plane (WV828) with a Dutch MLD scheme applied
